GETTING TO KNOW OUR TEAM
Over the months, we would like to introduce our team members to you, get to know a little about their personality and their life outside AML Southern Ltd. Last month, there was a snippet about our Operations and Marketing Manager, Alison Dowrick, who sings with a Barbershop Chorus and performed on BBC1's new series, Pitch Battle.
This month, we would like to introduce our Trainee Quantity Surveyor, Kye Minter.
Kye is an extremely enthusiastic member of our team. He joined us about a year ago and has just finished his first year of College Studies in Construction and The Built Environment. Outside of work, Kye is a keen boxer, and over the years as a young lad he has undertaken many competitive bouts at a national level against clubs from all over the UK and abroad.
Here's a snippet from Kye;
"I have been taught the professional procedures and methods quantity surveyors use globally and have been given a thorough insight to the world of construction.
During my time, here I have been given the opportunity to be involved in some high-profile projects; gaining intense experience and knowledge. It hasn’t been a walk in the park and the challenges have been excellent for my development. They have kept me alert and engaged but at the same time learning and evolving. A year on and I feel I am on the right path to becoming a valuable member to the AML team.
Here at AML, I am given a good level of responsibility which shows an element of trust and expectations. This is something I particularly like as it shows my value and the benefits I bring.
If I am ever stuck or need advice, I have a wide network of support which further adds to my learning and enables me to prosper within my career activities.
Alongside all my work experience I am undergoing a Level 4 HNC in construction & the built environment which further adds to my ever-growing knowledge.
Overall my experience here at AML has been fantastic. From learning, new skills every day to developing my problem-solving skills, I have truly gained a step up from where I was one year previous. There is still much more to learn and many more lessons to undergo; but with the help of AML I embrace this with excitement. "
